One's Bookshelf

One and I finished Johnny Tremain last night. A big accomplishment for both of us: we didn't cry at the end. We read The Wind in the Willows over the summer (a summer book if there ever was one) and are now starting Swiss Family Robinson.

On his own this summer One read The Narnia Chronicles, The Hobbit (3 times), The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, How to Speak Dragonese (by Cressida Cowell), Marcus and Junia (by Michael Giesler) and several Hardy Boys. He is in the middle of The Trumpeter of Krakow right now; only he knows what comes next.

He's still an absolute sponge for books. Thank God.
