Weekend Relaxing

Here is how One spent most of the weekend. We ran errands today and he walked around like that, nose in the book, Husband in fear for his permanent teeth. We went to the bookstore and he raked it in - 3 or 4 biographies, a Redwall book, and some Texas history. Still, he's stuck on finishing the Narnia books first. We read them together when he was Two's age - and Husband is reading them to Two now - but One wants to experience them himself (perferably alone without his brother's frequent interruptions).

The long weekend was relaxing for all of us. Just the usual chores, and other than that we cooked good meals together, stayed up too late, slept in, and pootled around the house. In Husband's fraternity vocabulary, we spent the weekend "festering". I prefer the more uplifting "re-energizing", however.

I hope y'all had excitement or quiet, in the exact ratio to what you needed to have. Cheers.

Marcus's mom read the Narnia series to her boys, too! So fun. Aren't you glad you get to share your love of reading with your boys? I hope my kids are readers . . .
